9th June 2023 New leaves getting shorter and narrower and loosing the marginal teeth. Its building up steam and ready to blow.

16th September 2023 Too high for the step ladder and the weather wasn't favorable. I have not had one flower this late in the season so making it up as I go along here.

24th October 2023 Pollenation complete. Just trying to keep it a bit warmer and the worst of the weather off it. Note the rolled up bubble wrap on one door edge to close up the gap at night time.

11th November 2023 Seed pods.

23rd November 2023 At this point it wasn't practical to have the glasshouse doors open so the roots and most of the leaves were removed and the stalk kept indoors to allow the pods to ripen futher. Temperatures going down to near zero in a couple of days time.

8th December 2023 Needs must !

5th January 2024 Pods were still plump and green after removing them so I cut one open, seeds sprouting inside the still green pods. After talking with some experts this is not uncommon. Sprouted seeds were potted up immediately.

15th February 2025 Seedling from seed sown in Jan 2024.
