2017 Agave Polycantha Gallery.
First signs.
This is a clone of the polycantha that flowered in 2006. It had been pot bound prior to repotting last year. The plant has been kept outside for the last two winters with the minimum of shelter, and very little pampering. The emerging flower spike seems a bit bent at this stage so we will see how it develops. It will probably be a small one..

| No flowers, probably ran out of energy or frost damage over winter as the top was up in the roof apex of the greenhouse. Bulbils forming under lower bracts. 25th June 2018 |
