Description.

Single or cespitose, short-stemmed, openly spreading rosettes. Leaves ensiform-lanceolate, broadest through the middle, long-acuminate, rather rigid, plane to concave above, rounded below, green to yellowish green, with pale center stripe; margin straight between prominent teats; teeth broadly flattened, 0.5 to 2 cm apart, 3 to 5 mm long, occasionally multi cupsid, red-brown; spine 2.5cm long, trigonous-subulate, stout, flat to slightly grooved above, keeled below.

Much like Agave xylonacantha but with prominent teats. Thorns darker only turning grey on older more upright leaves. Offsets less frequently than Xylonacantha. Most likely another form of Lophantha.
