Description.

Glaucous gray green to green compact rosettes with few or no suckers. Leaves generally 20-30 x 10-12 cm, teeth largest near leaf apex, diminishing rapidly below, grayish brown; spine 2-3 cm long, slender from broad base, flat to openly grooved above, 25-30 mm long.

An attractive form that is well suited to pot culture because of the bud printing and a spherical growth habbit.

Its natural habitat is limestone mountains in southeastern Coahuilaa at elevations of 1,400 and 2,480 m) It also occurs in the higher pine forest zones. and extends into Sonora south to the Sierra Huachinera.
