Description.

Large soiltary rosette up to 1 m tall at maturity.

Leaves lanceolate, apple to light green sometimes with a white bloom, concave above convex below, bud imprinting above and below. Margins undulate to crenate, teeth red to red brown with long terminal spine.

This solitary agave does not produce offshoots or pups.

Natural habitat is northeastern Mexico and is found at high altitiude elevations up to 3000m and is very tolerant of cold, heat, drought, and poor soils. Should survive cold and wet conditions very well.
