Description.

A Medium to large broad-leaved, heavily armed Agave up to 1.2m tall by 2m wide.

Leaves broadly lanceolate, widest in the middle, narrowed above the broad base, fairly straight to outcurving, plane to concave especially toward apex, thick and convex toward the base, teated margins with large prominent teeth. Strong terminal spine, 4-6 cm long, broadly channeled above.

It is natural habitat is on rocky ground at altitudes between 1600 and 2600 m in the states of Durango and Zacatecas

Responds to frequent watering during the growing season.
